Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews. It's all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
This week I visited a nearby library and found lots of books that were on my TBR list. Unfortunately some of them were already checked-out, but I still managed to find lots that I really want to read. I kept my book-borrowing to a minimum (because I still have some books to review and lots of TBR on my shelf at home) and only took home four books. Here they are:
The Program by Suzanne Young
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
Unearthly by Cynthia Hand
Seraphina by Rachel Hartman
I am so excited for all of these books! They've been on my TBR for a while and I've been meaning to pick them up/order them, but alas, my book wishlist is neverending! ☺ So, of course, I was really happy to see they were checked-in at the library! If I love them, I will probably end up buying them eventually to add to my shelf.
Aside from books, the library also lends movies and TV shows!? I mean, I knew that they've been lending those things for a while now, but the selection was quite big and I managed to pick up the first season of Game of Thrones, Epic, and Dark Shadows, which are all things I've been wanting to watch. So I was happy to see they were there to borrow for free! ☺
I also picked up two used books this week. Both were just 50 cents each! I couldn't pass that bargain up. (No self control.) Here they are:
Wrecked by Anna Davies
Paper Towns by John Green
A John Green book in near-perfect condition for 50 cents?? Yes, please! That find was kind of ridiculous! Super pleased with that! ☺
So, needless to say, I'm in store for quite a bit of reading. But I'm really happy with that because I'm super excited for all of these and because I don't have any textbooks or novels to read for classes, I am free to read whatever I want!
What have you added to your shelf this week? Has anyone read any of these books or have any recommendations for others to read in the future? Leave your comments below! ☺
Thanks for stopping by and happy reading!
