Back to School: English Major Edition

Being an English Major (fourth year, now!) means reading a lot of stories and books that someone else wants you to read. Of course, sometimes you end up reading books that you would never choose on your own. But sometimes, when you're lucky, you get to read amazing books that you might never have chosen on your own, either. I'll list some of the books I've read and enjoyed for class in another post. Today's post is about what I am currently reading for class.

I am taking one English course this semester and one Folklore Literature course. The books I am reading from at the moment are The Norton Anthology American Literature 1820 - 1865, and Irish Folktales.

The first story of the year was The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving! :)  Hopefully my expectations for this course aren't too high! And also - folktales are always awesome, so I have no doubt I will enjoy that class as well. My other classes aren't English literature courses, so I'll leave them out for now.

I'll leave my thoughts on these stories for another post that I will put up soon! :)
I've also got two illustrators that I love and want to share with you guys!

Megan and I are also currently reading some YA that we will share our reviews for very soon. We're also doing a group reading of Anna Dressed in Blood with Chelsea! This will be my first group read :3 We'll be sure to share our thoughts on Anna as well. There's also a giveaway TBA very soon!

How is everyone doing? Is anyone taking any English courses with interesting books as well? Share! :)
